We offer competitive teams for dancers ages 4-18, and recreational dance programs for ages 2 and up. We offer ballet/pointe, tap, jazz, lyrical, contemporary, hip hop, acrobatics, musical theatre and examination programs.
Competitive Program
Our competitive programs are designed for dancers who want to take their dancing to the next level! After a successful audition, dancers in this program will train with a team at their age/level throughout the year. In the spring we compete at local competitions, and sometimes even travel to other competitions and events throughout Canada. This program is designed to push dancers to reach their goals, learn how to be a great team member, improve on their performance skills, and of course have the most fun!
Recreational Program
Our recreational programs begin for dancers ages 2 and up! We offer a preschool program for our youngest dancers. We follow the Discover Dance syllabus for our dancers 2-5 years of age, as well as the Preschool Acro through Acrobatic Arts. We also offer some technique based classes in tap, acrobatics, ballet and hip hop. These classes train all year and perform at our year end showcase! Dancers love recreational classes and they are a great way to begin your dance journey at CEDC
Exam Program
At CEDC we are proud to offer examination programs through the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing in tap, as well as exams through Acrobatic Arts. Entry into this program is by invite only, and is meant for dancers to strictly focus on their technical elements. In the spring of each year an examiner travels from the UK to conduct exams, where each students get a mark based on their performance in that level.
